Due to ongoing expansion, we are opening a new centre for Separated Children Seeking International Protection residential centre in Ballybrit, Galway area which will provide accommodation services for children. We are now recruiting for the following positions.

Social Care Worker:

The successful candidate will have a level 7 qualification in social care or equivalent. Salary Scale: €33,000 per annum – 40hrs per week

Support Worker:

The successful candidate will have a level 5 qualification in social care or equivalent. Salary Scale: €31,000 per annum 40hrs per week

HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK LOCATIONS: Galway CLOSING DATE: Friday 6th September 2024 at 12noon INTERVIEW: Can be held within 24hrs of application (Via Zoom, Teams or Face to Face) JOB ROLE (not limited to): The role of the Social Care worker is to work directly with young people, engaging them in an activity-led program whilst contributing to the day-to-day running of the residential centre. Applicants must have a minimum of a level 5 or above qualification

Successful candidates will have

Minimum Qualification:

• FETAC credit in Care Skills at Level 5
• QQI-accredited Level 5 Early Learning & Care
• QQI Level 5 Social Studies
• Or Equivalent

Minimum Experience

• Two years working in a care setting

Requirements

• Have a full Driver’s Licence.
• Knowledge of Child Protection issues and relevant legislation.
• Be able to work in an occasionally challenging environment.
• Have a calm, welcoming and patient attitude.
• Be flexible to work on a staff rota.

Social Care Workers - Full time, Part Time and Relief

Upon application for this post, the applicant must have a minimum of a level 7 qualification in Social Care or another relevant equivalent.

The following relevant equivalent qualifications must be at a minimum of a level 7:

• Nursing
• Psychology (Level 8)
• Teaching
• Social Science
• Youth & Community
• Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy
• Social Work
• Counselling

The ideal candidate must also hold a minimum of 1 years’ experience within a residential setting working with young people with challenging behaviours and have excellent interpersonal skills. Full-time, Part Time and Relief Social Care Worker – Rathmullan Transition centre, Co Donegal – Immediate Vacancies. The role of the Social Care Worker (SCW) is to work directly with young people, engaging them in an activity-led program whilst contributing to the day-to-day running of the residential centre. Salary €34-38,000 per annum
