Solis is an amazing company to work with that offers a wide range of services for children and young people. I began my new post within GMC at the Rathmullan Transition Centre at the end of March this year, for me as it stands it was the best decision I made. Having been qualified as a Youth & community worker the uncertainty with funding was unfair so I had taken the step for change to create stability for my 2 children.
Starting GMC as a Social care worker, moving to a new place of work out of my comfort zone in a field I was completely new to was nerve-wracking, but from the first day I knew I made the correct choice for a better work & family life balance NOT TO MENTION FINANCIALLY!!
In July I secured a promotion within the organization and moved up to social care leader, I became confident knowing this was a job I was good at preparing our young people for adulthood and making a positive difference in their lives.
